Morphing an environment

The official description says Sonia can morph the environment between unparallel realities. It emphasizes altering the place she is exploring: stone, shadow, dangers and paths can change. This is the reliable foundation for discussing reality shifting.

It does not provide a complete manual for swapping worlds. Claims about a dedicated button, a fixed number of realities, arbitrary switching anywhere or a universal reset need separate evidence.

Why a transition matters

In the developer-authored PlayStation Blog introduction, Hanford Lemoore explicitly says players can freeze blending and explore a mixture of realities. He also describes points where multiple realities can coexist. This is an officially described feature, discussed further in the hybrid-state explainer.

A blocked doorway in one state may open in another while introducing a different hazard. The confirmed design is about choosing the right state for the situation, rather than assuming one state is always better.

Questions for the first playable build

We need to verify where changes can be initiated, how they are controlled, how stable they remain, whether hazards respond in the same way as terrain and how the game communicates prerequisites. Each answer should identify the build and the scene used to test it.

Until then, reality shifting is a confirmed gameplay concept with incomplete operation details. Use the official footage to understand the idea, rather than a source for an exact input sequence.
